Abstract

The belief in the Finality of Prophethood (Khatm-e-Nubuwwat) is a fundamental and defining principle of Islam, deeply rooted in the faith and identity of Muslims worldwide. In the contemporary era, print media—including newspapers, magazines, journals, and pamphlets have become a vital tool for the propagation and dissemination of religious beliefs and values. This research study explores the significant role played by print media in promoting and spreading awareness about the doctrine of the Finality of Prophethood. The study examines various print media outlets in both Urdu and English to evaluate their contribution toward educating the public, countering misconceptions, and reinforcing the importance of this core Islamic belief. It examines the strategies employed by print media to engage readers, the effectiveness of these methods in creating awareness, and the challenges they face in the context of modern social and intellectual environments. Additionally, the research highlights how print media serves as a platform for scholarly discussions, community mobilization, and the defense of beliefs against misinterpretations or opposing narratives. The findings suggest that print media not only play an essential role in religious education but also support communal solidarity and the preservation of Islamic identity by emphasizing the finality of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) prophethood. Despite the rise of digital media, print media continues to be influential, especially among certain demographics and regions where traditional forms of communication hold significant value. The study concludes by recommending ways to enhance the impact of print media in religious discourse and to address emerging challenges in the promotion of the belief in the Finality of Prophethood.
