Formatting Tables, Figures, and Citations
Authors are requested to carefully follow the formatting, citation, table, figure, and reference requirements described below before submitting a manuscript to the journal.
- Page size: A4; margins of 1 inch on all sides.
- Body font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, justified alignment, 1-line spacing.
- Urdu Body font: Jameel Noori Nastaleeq, 12 pt, justified alignment, 1-line spacing.
- Section headings: Bold, left-aligned, 14 pt.
- Sub-headings: Bold italic, 12 pt.
- Urdu Section headings: Bold, left-aligned, 14 pt.
- Urdu Sub-headings: Bold, 12 pt.
- Title: Bold, centered, 15 pt. Abstract and Keywords follow directly under the title block.
- Urdu Title: Bold, centered, 16 pt. Abstract and Keywords follow directly under the title block.
Use numbered endnotes for every citation, matched to a numbered reference list at the end of the article.
- Place the note number as a superscript immediately after the relevant sentence or quotation.
- The note number should normally follow the final punctuation mark.
- The first citation of a source should provide full bibliographic details: Author, Title (Place: Publisher, Year), page.

Reference list entries are numbered to match in-text note numbers and are not alphabetized.

Table Formatting Requirements
- Caption placement: Above the table, bold, left-aligned.
- Caption format: Table [number]: [Short descriptive title]
- Tables should be numbered sequentially in order of appearance.
- Borders should be simple single-line borders on all cells.
- The header row should be shaded light grey with bold text.
- Every table must be referenced in the body text before it appears, e.g. “...as shown in Table 1.”
- Add a brief source or methodology note below the table if the data were adapted from elsewhere.

Figure 1: Short descriptive title
- Figures should be inserted at high resolution (minimum 300 DPI) and kept as a separate image file in addition to being embedded in the manuscript.
- Caption placement: Below the figure, unbold, centered.
- Caption format: Figure [number]: [Short descriptive title]
- Figures should be numbered sequentially and separately from tables.
- Every figure must be referenced in the body text before it appears, e.g. “...illustrated in Figure 1.”
- If a figure is reproduced or adapted from another source, credit that source directly beneath the caption and confirm permission to reuse it.
- Avoid low-resolution screenshots. Charts generated from your own data should be exported cleanly rather than screen-captured.
Before submitting your manuscript, please verify that all formatting, citations, tables, figures, references, fonts, margins, and heading styles comply with the journal's Author Guidelines.
Al-Amīn (Faiṣalābād) has revised its paper formatting style and reference style as part of the journal's gradual and continuous improvement.
The revised format reflects the journal's ongoing development, progressive refinement of its editorial practices, updated publication policies and improved presentation standards. Authors are therefore requested to use the current Sample Paper and the latest Guide to Authors when preparing new submissions.
The journal may periodically update its formatting, referencing and submission requirements as part of its commitment to maintaining consistent, transparent and professionally presented scholarly publishing standards.

Authors should carefully follow the current Sample Paper for manuscript structure, formatting, headings, tables, figures, references and overall presentation.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts meet the journal's ethical and publication requirements.
Manuscripts should follow the Harvard Style Guidelines provided below.
Manuscripts that fail to include available DOIs may be returned to the authors for correction before they are considered for peer review.
Guidelines for Submission of Research Articles
- Unpublished articles on Islamic topics regarding the given description may be submitted in English.
- Articles related to Islamic sciences will be considered. Articles containing material that contradicts basic Islamic beliefs will not be considered for publication.
- Articles should be composed according to A4 page size.
- The main text should use a 14-point font. The article must be accompanied by an English abstract of approximately 100 words, including keywords.
- Page margins should be: right 2.5, left 1.0, top 1.0, and bottom 2.0.
- Articles may be submitted electronically through the journal's designated submission system or by email, where applicable.
- Special attention should be paid to footnotes, references, the order of the author's name, title of the book, publisher, place of publication, date of publication, and other bibliographic details.
- For publication in Al-Amīn Journal, manuscripts are subject to expert review in accordance with the journal's editorial and peer-review procedures.
- The editor will communicate the reviewers' comments and recommendations to authors. Where revisions are required, authors will be informed accordingly.
- The article should not exceed 25 pages in any case.
- In case of publication, the article's online link and electronic copy of the journal will be made available to the author.
- Authors should submit their manuscripts through the journal's official submission channel.
Frequency of Journal
Islamic Studies Research Journal “Al-Amīn” is a bi-annual research journal. Two issues are published yearly, in June and December.

Before submitting, authors are encouraged to compare their manuscript carefully with the current Sample Paper and ensure that all formatting, reference, DOI, ethical and publication requirements have been addressed
