Addressing of Contemporary Challenges in Political, Economic and Management Fields in Perspective of The Holy Prophet’sﷺ Seerah

Abstract

In an age marked by armed conflict, economic volatility, political fragmentation, and social insecurity, the need for morally grounded and strategically effective crisis-management models have become increasingly urgent. This article examines the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a comprehensive framework for crisis management that integrates ethical discipline with practical leadership. Using a qualitative analytical method based on the Quran, Hadith, and classical Seerah sources, the study explores selected Prophetic responses to military threat, economic hardship, and political tension. It argues that the Prophetic model of crisis management is distinguished by its fusion of justice, mercy, consultation, foresight, restraint, and trust in Allah with decisive institutional and strategic action. Through the cases of Badr, Khandaq, the Madinan market, and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, the article demonstrates that the Prophet ﷺ addressed crises not merely by temporary control measures, but through moral legitimacy, social cohesion, and long-term stability. The article further contends that the Seerah offers not only devotional inspiration but also a viable ethical-political framework for contemporary governance, public policy, conflict de-escalation, and equitable resource management. It concludes that the Prophetic method remains intellectually significant and practically relevant for modern societies seeking humane and sustainable responses to complex crises.
